Vineyard Notes
Cabernet Franc (Loire Clone 214) from Block 3C of our original Meadowbrook Vineyard. These vines grow in Califon Sandy Loam soil in East-south orientation on a southern slope. Farmed sustainably: no irrigation, no tilling.
Production Notes
Hand-harvested fruit is picked for acidity and left as whole berries with 25% whole cluster inclusion to encourage carbonic maceration. Gently pressed and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 5 months. No fining, light filtration. Under 30 ppm sulfites added prior to bottling. 70 cases produced.
